Preservative: 10 mL of 50% NaOH prior to the start of collection.
Do NOT refregerate specimen.
24-hour urine collection – submit entire collection to laboratory.
Referring lab: submit 5.0 mL aliquot from a total 24-hour urine collection.
24-hour total volume is required on request form for processing.
