Specimen Requirement
Lithium heparin whole blood.
Draw blood into hemparinized line-draw syringe. Ensure all air is removed from the syringe and cap the syringe before transport to lab.
Specimen Stability
To maintain the integrity of the specimen, the vacuum seal of the tube can not be broken.
Stable for 30 minutes. Store sample at room temperature during transport to the lab.
