1.0 mL serum or Lithium Hep plasma; PST, and SST acceptable.
Avoid gross hemolysis and RBC’s. Do not use heat-activated specimen.
Referring lab: If testing will be delayed more than 24 hours, serum should be removed from the clot separator or red blood cells.
