This test is a screen for heterophile antibodies associated with infectious mononucleosis. Results should be correlated with clinical and hematological findings.

Specimen Requirement

0.5 mL serum or EDTA plasma. Heparin not acceptable.

Specimen Minimum Volume

0.5 mL serum or EDTA plasma.

72 hours at 2-8° C
